Andy Cutler created Datahai whilst completing an MSc in Business Intelligence Systems & Data Mining in March 2020. Adamant that data is fundamental for the success of a business, Andy further established Datahai as a limited company, allowing him to contract and showcase the value of data-driven solutions using the Azure Data Platform and Power BI.

Data Journey
Andy started his data journey way back in 2003 with a crash course in data warehousing and business intelligence applications using SQL Server 2000 and MicroStrategy. With fascination in the world of the data warehouse and business intelligence fully piqued, Andy has worked for companies such as SEGA, JustGiving, Vubiquity (Amdocs Media) and Ambassador Theatre Group in positions such as Data Architect, Senior Business Intelligence Developer and Head of Data.

Expanded Azure Data Platform
Implement Power BI Data Flows for centralised custom data transformation to feed downstream Power BI data models. Setup CI/CD pipelines to deploy Azure Data Factory and Azure Logic Apps. Created Infrastructure-as-Code processes using Terraform.
Migration to Azure Data Platform & Power BI
Migrate on-premises Oracle data warehouse to newly created Azure SQL Data Warehouse ( initially Gen1 then upgraded to Gen2), Azure Analysis Services and Power BI.
New Power BI Implementation
Create new Power BI implementation by assessing requirements, creating appropriate data governance strategies, building data models within Power BI, deploying, securing and distributing to the organisation.
